The Queen of British Nations, Queen Elizabeth II passed away in the afternoon of September 8, 2022 as 96 years old. She was the oldest queen of the world. The funeral for her will be held on Monday, September 19 in London at Westminster Abbey. All the people of the world are grieving the death of Queen Elizebeth so a lot of world leaders representing their countries will attend and condole her.
These days Canadians are also sorrowful of her death. Canada is a Commonwealth of Britain so they mourn more. In Canada, people are talking about closing the school for a few days to honour the queen. Beginning of classes are discussing the death of the queen and the future. The prime minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau said “She was one of my favourite people in the world and I will miss her so.” Queen Elizabeth was really important to Canadians and the queen that they have ever loved. Queen Elizabeth is the queen who got the most respect from Canadians. As much as they loved their queen, there are many things she has affected Canada. They need to change key oaths like Canadian stamps, 20 dollars of bill, and prompts which should be different from before. Therefore, Canada is directly related to the queen’s death.
On the other hand, Korea doesn’t have big relationships with the UK. So Koreans are indifferent to the Queen’s death unless people are using twitter or watching news. Unlike Canada, Koreans don’t have relationships from history and the distance between the two countries are far, which is one of the big reasons that Koreans are uninterested in death. The other reason is that Korea was having Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is one of the big holidays in Korea. People were busy preparing for Thanksgiving. Hence their more focusing on having time with family. Thus people aren’t really interested in the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
In my opinion, I lament the Queen’s death. As a student who loves history, I respect her a lot and she deserves to be respected. There are a lot of achievements she made. At the second World War, she went to the army and worked as an Women’s Auxiliary Territory Service, ATS. Moreover, she was keeping donations to support many charities.. That makes her a more warm queen. She is the living witness of history and the longest queen of the world. As she is the longest queen of the world, I’m sure that she is the longest queen we will remember.
